About
Welcome to the culinary haven of Manorama Odia, a hidden gem nestled in the vibrant locality of Konappana Agrahara, Electronic City, Bengaluru. If you yearn for the authentic taste of Odia cuisine, this is your go-to destination, serving dishes that evoke a profound sense of nostalgia and comfort. Manorama Odia stands out not just for its warm ambiance, but for its commitment to delivering soul-satisfying meals that feel like they’ve been crafted in your very own kitchen.
As you step in, you're greeted by the tantalizing aroma of traditional Odia cooking. The menu is an ode to home-cooked fare, featuring signature dishes that are as comforting as they are flavorful. Judging by enthusiastic reviews from patrons like Devu B and Faisal, it’s evident that the essence of homemade cuisine is masterfully captured here. “Food was very delicious,” notes Devu, highlighting the unparalleled quality that distinguishes Manorama Odia from the crowded food landscape of Bengaluru. While you might experience a slight wait for your food, the anticipation only builds as the culinary magic unfolds.
Among the must-tries, the Mutton Thali is highly recommended, offering a hearty and satisfying experience. Pair it with the renowned Dahi Baigana for an explosion of flavors that will leave your taste buds singing. If you’re in the mood for something lighter yet equally delectable, don’t miss out on the Pakhala platter, a quintessential dish that captures the essence of Odia dining. Customers like Sangrilaa express deep satisfaction over the authenticity, with meals that remind them of lazy Sunday afternoons back in Odisha. However, a slight note of improvement could be made on the accompaniments, as some diners have noticed a simple side platter with their Pakhala meal.
The experience extends beyond just food. Vignesh Sundar highlights the friendly nature of the owner and the communal feeling within this cozy space. Though it may be congested at times, the reasonable prices and remarkable food quality more than compensate for the slightly limited dining environment. Plus, the absence of a washroom facility is a minor trade-off for those seeking authentic Odia flavors in the city.
Overall, Manorama Odia is not just a restaurant; it’s a heartwarming homage to Odia heritage and culinary traditions. With a focus on quality, flavor, and affordability, it is a must-visit for anyone looking to indulge in the richness of Odia cuisine. Whether it’s the appeal of authentic meals or the warm hospitality that brings you through the door, one thing is certain: your cravings for Odia comfort food will be thoroughly satiated here.

“ Loved the typical odia pakhala platter. Couldn't have had a better meal on a lazy Sunday afternoon. However, I would like to highlight that though the fish & prawn items were really tasty abs authentically prepared yet I noticed a cost saving in the sides platter provided with the Pakhala meal. Earlier it used be loaded and stomach filling in itself without ordering any additional items. But never mind, this small glitch as this place provides the best in the city when an Odia food lover is dearly missing his hometown food.... ”
“ Good for everyday meals. Tasty food at less price. We go there quite often during weekends and this place has never disappointed us . Must try - Mutton Thali Recommended Add-ons : Dahi Baigana ”

“ When you get craving for a proper odia food in the buzzing capital Bengaluru, this is the place to hit. You can find machh baath to rasagulla, that can invoke the memories of homely food at odisha. The owner guy is friendly and bonus points if you take a person who knows odia well. Ambience was fine. Very limited dining space. Reasonable price. Washroom facility is not available. Dahi bhaingan is a must try. Overall nice experience. ”

“ Nestled in a tiny street at Electronic city, it's a very homely restaurant run by locals. Authentic food. Good taste. Very filling. Hygienic place. We had the veg thali which had chutney, papad, 2 rotis, salad, aloo brinjal fry and good amount of rice. We also had the mutton thali which had a really good taste as well and had similar items on the thali. We ordered prawns separately and they tasted good as well. Ambience can be a little underwhelming as it's a very tiny place. But overall good food and good service. Happy eating ”
